The black chocolate is a better source of iron than red meat?
Because I just bought a 85% cocoa dark chocolate contains 40% of its consumption Journal of iron per serving! Then I did an investigation and found that ounce for ounce, dark chocolate contains iron 500% more expensive than red meat: 3 DV% by 1 ounce serving of red meat: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/beef-products / 7479 / 2 VS. 19% 1 oz portion of 70-85% cocoa chocolate black: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/sweets/10638/2 but the iron in chocolate is a no less absorbable (-heme), and as coffee and tea contain flavonoids (chemicals that block the absorption of iron). So, do you think is worth eating chocolate because it contains black iron? Do you think that at least part of it is absorbed? over 500% * (500.33% to be exact) 533.33% sorry lol
I guess even below the iron is absorbed, it is likely that gives more iron than red meat. They say that vitamin C helps absorb the iron to have a drink with his OJ dark chocolate. XD Thanks for the info – I did not know that!
